Platform guidance

Measure AI-search visibility instead of guessing

Google and Bing now expose separate reporting for parts of generative-search visibility.

What the platform says

Google Search Console’s generative AI performance report is available globally and reports impressions from supported AI features such as AI Overviews and AI Mode, with page, country, device and date dimensions. Bing Webmaster Tools reports AI citations and cited pages, and has expanded its reporting with grounding queries, Intents, Topics, Citation Share and comparison views.

What it does not say

Neither platform turns AI visibility into a universal ranking score. Bing explicitly describes Citation Share as an observational metric rather than a ranking system or competitive scoreboard.

Ozmov practice

Track trends over time, identify which pages and topics are actually appearing, compare that visibility with qualified visits and enquiries, and use the data to decide what deserves deeper original coverage. Treat the reports as observation tools—not as targets to game.
